Chance for 25 workers in the capital of cotton - Memorandum on construction of 11 mini hydroelectric power plants in Arilje signed

The Minister of Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, has said today that the construction of small hydroelectric power plants in Arilje will generate new vacancies as well as that the municipal budget can expect some RSD 800 thousand for water fee.

The Minister signed in Arilje a tripartite memorandum on construction of small hydroelectric power plants between nine potential investors, municipal representatives and the Ministry of Energy.

Mihajlovic said that the construction of small hydroelectric power plants of 5,5 MW at 11 locations will create 25 new vacancies in the municipality.

- There must be constant communication and good connections between the state, local self-governance and investors so that nobody suffers. Investors should have all conditions to do their jos and the local self-governance to get what belongs to it from water fee - Mihajlovic said.

Apart from being famous for raspberries and cotton, Arilje will also become famous for renewable resources electricity production, the Minister said.

The President of the Arilje municipality, Zoran Todorovic, said that the municipality will provide all the necessary support to investors so that the project implementation starts as soon as possible.
