Out of 16 companies of bankrupt Austrian construction concern, Alpina, which was hired on construction of a number of projects in Serbia, three have been sold so far.

The remaining companies should be sold by the end of the month and as it has been said, Hazet Bau, Schauer Eisenbanbau and Universale were sold.

Hazet was acquired by consortium headed by Austrian Bauservice Fuhs while the construction concern Svitelski acquired Schauer.

Porr expressed special interest in Hazet Bau which employs some 400 people, and the new owner bought it at the price of EUR 4,25 mil.

As for Schauser with only eight staff, it was sold for EUR 780.000.

Universale, as APA has announced today, has been sold to a Wels-based construction company, Banbau Wels Gmb.

Bankrupt of Alpine, which was hired in Serbia on the construction of the bridge in Besla as well as the railway bridge over the Velika Morava, the Pirot-Dimitrovgrad highway and a bypass around Dimitrovgrad, is the biggest failure of a company in the Austrian economy history.

Concern which had 15.000 employees, reported insolvency June 18, with liabilities of more than EUR 2,6 billion.
