Corridors of Serbia help companies to register their claims from Alpina

The Corridors of Serbia published on its website information for companies from Serbia which, by August 16 should register their claims from the Austrian construction company Alpina which is in bankruptcy.
Subcontractors, who were engaged in current projects of Alpine in Serbia, according to contracts for works and procurement of goods and materials and the like, can log their claims in regular trial at the court in Vienna.
Information about submission of claims can be obtained at the Association for the Protection of creditors in Austria (www.ksv.at), which is responsible for the registration of small claims in bankruptcy i.e. for information about bankruptcy proceedings in Austria, then in the Austrian Chamber of Workers (www.wien. arbeiterkammer.at) and the Austrian Fund for the continuation of payments to employees during the bankruptcy (www.insolvenzentgelt.at).
The Law on Bankruptcy and the Labour Law of Austria deal with this sensitive question of debts from the employment contract of an employer which is undergoing bankruptcy proceeding of priority i.e. emergency procedure.
Austrian legislation anticipates the obligation of the employer to annually set aside certain amount of money in a mutual fund, which is used to secure the claims of employees in the event of an employer’s bankruptcy, Corridors of Serbia announced.
Residual income as well as compulsory insurance contributions is paid from these funds.
Contact with the Association for the Protection of creditors, which is responsible for the registration of small claims in bankruptcy, or for information about bankruptcy in general in Austria, which according to the principle of international assistance can mediate and provide legal assistance in this case was contacted through the lawyers.
This way, employees who have claims from contracts concluded directly with the Alpine Bau Gmbh can exercise their rights.
Legal entities which concluded basic contract with the company can register their claims arising from other types of engagement, and where Alpine Bau Gmbh is not the second party.
More creditors can submit a joint application, and regardless of the amount of claims court fee for registration is totals EUR 20.
