Shares of Postal Saving Bank rose by 3,400 CSD in one day

The shares of the Postal Saving Banks, one day after it had been announced that the leading bank in the world - American Citibank - expressed interest in its procurement, rose by 15.74%.
At the Belgrade Stock Exchange, the price of the shares of the Postal Saving Bank on Tuesday (October 24, 2006) amounted to 21,600 CSD, whereas yesterday (October 25) the price went up to 25,000 CSD.
Total capital of the Postal Saving Bank equals 137,841 shares, of which accounting value is 11,796 CSD. About 92.01% of shares of the Postal Saving Bank are owned by the State (83.5% owned by Public Company "PTT Srbija" and 8.51% owned by Republic Pension and Disability Insurance Fund), while the rest of the shares is in the hands of the private investors.
It is interesting that the special meeting of the stockholders of the Postal Saving Bank is schedulled for November 2, 2006. On the agenda, among the rest, is the draft decision about exclusion of shares from the stock exchange until further notice, that is, the draft decision about temporary stoppage of trade in shares.
