Famous American Citibank in Serbia prior to end of year 2006

- American Citibank (www.citibank.com) will open its branch in Serbia prior to year 2006 - Minister of Finance Mlađan Dinkić announed.

- At the end of the year, Citibank will start to operate in Serbia through its branches and this company expressed interest in privatization of some of the remaining banks - said Dinkić after the conversation with the manager of Citibank for central and east Europe, Gali Harington.

Dinkić said that the representatives of Citibank had showed interest in procurement of Postal Savings Bank, but that the State had not intended to sell that bank at the moment and that the remaining banks were only small regional banks, such as Privredna banka Pančevo, Agrobanka and Credy banka from Kragujevac.
