The Directorate for Property of Republic of Serbia has announced tender for sale of complex of buildings of former Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs in 90-92 Kneza Miloša Street in Belgrade.
The starting price for sale of the complex of eight buildings, which were destroyed during the NATO bombing in 1999, is set to 28,825,101.34 EUR. The complex of the buldings is on total surface of 22,654 square meters, which means that one square meter costs about 1,300 EUR.
The new owner should be known prior to November 2006. The deadline for delivery of written offers is November 8, whereas the public opening of the bids will take place two days later.
The complex in Kneza Miloša Street was built immediately after the World War II according to the project of the Slovenian architect Ludvig Timorije. The experts say that the building has the characteristics of soc-realism and that it represents that period in our civil engineering. It was hit on the same night as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, between April 2 and 3, 1999.
