PUTEVI SRBIJE: Toll remains unchanged for now

Putevi Srbije will today start paying VAT on toll revenue, but toll rates will remain unchanged for now, Head of the Putevi Srbije Department of Toll Collection Milenko Cakovic told Tanjug news agency.

Cakovic said that Putevi Srbije would start charging VAT at all toll stations as of midnight.

According to him, a possible increase in toll rates will be discussed over the next few days, but a final decision will be made by the Serbian government.

Transportation Minister Milutin Mrkonjic announced earlier that the Serbian government would suggest at its next session that toll rates should be increased by 20 percent, that is, by the amount of VAT.
