Favorit bike from the Tisa rides to Europe - Becej-based department opens

The Czech company, Favorit, started assembling of bicycles in Becej-based section. The bicycles are sold at the EU market, Dnevnik informs.

– Firstly, we employed 15 workers in one shift and who are trained by the staff from the Czech – Igor Capo, the Executive Manager of Favorit for Serbia and Montenegro says.

As he said, while the training period lasts, daily capacity is 50 assembled bikes. They will soon move to targeted 100 a day or a bit more than 2000 per month.

- The first export delivery is to be sent on Monday. Since the demand for bikes of our company is extraordinary, we are thinking of introducing the second shift which means to hire 15 workers more.

Deputy Mayor of Becej municipality, Tamara Ivanievic, reminded that the story with the Czechs started in 2007 but that it has been realized this year. They first agreed on production a five-year rent of production hall with a possibility that time will be doubled. Together with Novi Sad-based Elektrodistribucija, some RSD 4 mil has been invested in electrical works. Thus, electricity voltage became optimal, not only for undisturbed production of the new investor but also for citizens in Novi Sad where the production department is located.
