The World Bank supports structural reforms in Serbia and all economic measures adopted so far with a view to improving the business climate in the country.

This was stated on Thursday by Serbian Minister of Finance and economy Mladjan Dinkic, Regional Director of the World Bank for Southeast Europe, Europe and Central Asia Ellen Goldstein and Director of the World Bank in Serbia Loup Brefort, Tanjug news agency has reported

Dinkic and the delegation of the World Bank discussed the possibility of a new financial arrangement which would serve as support to the package of structural reforms the government adopted and which it intends to carry out in the next period.

The World Bank welcomed the adoption of the Action Plan for restructuring of 179 former public companies which will finally resolve the status of the companies and this will result in direct and indirect savings worth EUR 750 million when the process ends in 2014.
