For the approval of exporting number of meat have applied 5 slaughtering houses from Serbia, as they fullfilled the conditions asked by the European Union, said the director of the Department for veterinary of the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water commerce, Dejan Krnjajic.

At the meeting of the group for slaughtering industry of the Chamber of commerce of Serbia, held in Bacinici, Mr Krnjajic precised that the candidates for exporting of read meat were “Big bull” from Bacinci, Novi Sad’s “Kolbis”, “Juhor” from Jagodina, Industry of meat “Zlatibor” from Cajetina, and “Stokoimpex” from Knjazevac.

It has been announced that soon several more slaughtering houses would get licence for exporting to the countries of EU, and it is expected that domestic slaughtering houses would soon get the licences for exporting of meat processed products.

Serbia will have this year a profit of around billion dollars, from the export of agricultural-nutritive products, which is a proof that we are an agrar country, said the secretary of the Union for agricultural and food industry PKS, Milan Prostran.

He said that agriculture brought more than 30% of bruto-society products.
