DRAGAS: To stop tender sale of RTB "Bor"

Coordinator of the experts team for creation of the new strategy of revitalization, reorganization, capital evaluation and privatization of RTB "Bor", Branko Dragas said that the Government of Serbia should stop the tender sale and open a public discussion about the new startegy of privatization of this basin.

After the shift of government in Bor county, the new Board in Bor and Majdanpek, in July of 2006, had turned down the startegies of the Government of Serbia for RTB "Bor" and hired an experts team to create analysis of the condition and propose a new strategy.

Dragas said that "no one is against partial sale of this basin", pointing out that in the public it is not "spoken the right way" about the present reserves of the mine in RTB. Experts team proposes that the state with 51% of the shares remains the majority owner of RTB Bor and that 15% get workers and pensioners, 15% all citizens of Serbia, and that 19% of the shares is offered for sale.
