ILIC: Europe will give up on Corridor 10 if the works on it are not soon finished

The works on both sides of the tunnel Srazevica which is a part of turning point around Belgrade, have been started again after a long year break (yesterday, on October, 16th, 2006).

In the tour of the construction site, the Minister for capital investments of Serbia, Velimir Ilis stressed out that "Europe can not wait for us, and therefore if the works on Corridor 10 are not finished in three years time we will loose international corridors", said the Minister.

The funds for such important projects, as is this turning around Belgrade, need to be found, as the highway can not be made into one of the main city traffic directions on which takes up to several hours in the rush hour - pointed out Ilic.

Strazevica tunnel, of 745 m of longitude is a part of "sector 5" of 4,5 km long from Orlovaca to Avala road
