FAS temporarily discontinues car production

The Fiat Automobili Srbija company has temporarily discontinued car production due to an interruption in the supply of components, FAS said in a release on Friday (14 June 2013).

- Despite the fact that the delivery and production of 500L has been halted temporariliy, FAS assures that the stoppage will be short as well as that all possible measures are taken to stabilize the situation - the release reads.

Fiat's supplier Selmat is running late with the delivery of components for Fiat 500L, which has resulted in a temporary stoppage of production of this model for Great Britain as well as the left side steering wheel model for other markets.
