Ziveo Zivot (Long Live Life) exhibition, a sort of time machine that will take visitors back to the second half of the 20th century, the time when SFRY existed, was opened last night (June 4th) at the Beograd department store in Knez Mihajlova Street.
What were the most popular haircuts? Who was Alija Sirotanovic? Which means of transportation did Yugoslavs use? What are the most common dishes of that time? How did a supermarket look then? How were the first computers used? Which films were the most popular? What kind of music was listened to? Which books did Yugoslavs read? Who were they proud of?
Visitors will be able to learn answers to these and many other questions about sports, film, science, fashion through this walk through the past at the international exhibition Long Live Life.
Long Live Life exhibition is designed to make it possible for visitors to experience this period of time with all their senses, thus featuring authentic exhibits, audio and video installations, 3D projections, sceneries...
Every visitor will be able to sit in an authentic car from that period and simulate a drive through the streets of Belgrade of the '60s; to get into a workers uniform of that period, to try on "Pino Silvestre" eau de cologne - the ultimate scent for men of the '70s.
Unlike usual shows where the visitor is just a passive observer, Long Live Life provides an active relationship with the setup, so that the visitor becomes an integral and essential part of exhibition.
Due to its volume, the exhibition is divided into two parts. The first part will be presented in the period from June 1st to July 4th, whereas the second part will take place between September 10th and December 31th.
The exhibition will be open every day between 10 AM and 10 PM. A single ticket costs RSD 250, the price for students and pensioners is RSD 200, while a family ticket (for four persons) is priced at RSD 600.
