Nutritional companies from Serbia agreed a deal with Russia worth more than 5 millions eur

At the food fair held in Moscow, from September, 26th-29th, 2006, the Russian business partners showed interest for nutritional products from Serbia. More than 400 contacts have been made, and the value of precontract goes over 5 millions eur.

- The Russian market is especially opened for fresh fruit, particularley apples and raspberries, as well as fruit processed products - said Jasna Matic, director of the Agency for foreign investments and promotion of export SIEPA.

Goran Zivkov, the Minister of agriculture in Serbian Government, pointed out that the present agricultural exchange with Russia is very modest, especially when concerning our possibilities in agrar and enourmous potention of our market.

- So far only some spieces of fruit and vegetables were included in the exchange, and I am cetian that there are realistic possibilities that this exchange doubles up or even increase several times, and also that the assortiment of the goods presented at the Russian market to be expanded - stated Zivkov.
