Aleksandar Popovic named new director-general of Elektronska Industrija (EI) Nis

Aleksandar Popovic, secretary of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Nis until recently, is new director-general of the Elektronska Industrija Nis (EI Nis) holding. The decision to appoint Popovic as new director-general to replace the former director of EI Nis, Bozidar Petrovic, was made Thursday (30 May 2013).

Popovic pointed out that EI Nis had large possessions, but a big portion of that property was unused.

- My main task is to raise the level of business activity at EI Nis, and facilitate the use of its capacities. I am yet to decide whether to do that by opening a science and technology park or in some other way - said Popovic.

Popovic is a mechanical engineer who started his career in the Machining Industry.
