The workers of Belgrade-based "Energoprojekt-Niskogradnja" have finished the section of road from Kuzmin to Bosut. The section is part of highway M-18 from Kuzmin to border crossing near Sremska Rača where completely new road is being built.

The machines are now on the border crossing and they will soon be used for paving of road to the Bosut. Total length of the road is 5 km. The plan is that the works be finished prior to the end of April 2005. Until then, all 14 km of road from Kuzmin to the border will have new lanes 7.1 m wide.

Belgrade-based CIP draws the plans for new bridge across the Bosut. New solution should straighten several consecutive dangerous curves, which are the most usual location for the traffic accident, so that the road will be much changed in order to create conditions for safer traffic. Before this project is realized, having machines near the spot, there is possibility that the one kilometer of curves over the sluice on the Bosut be paved with the new asphalt.
