Dukat takes over Ljubljanske mlekarne

By Monday (when binding bid expired) the Croatian Dukat, a member of Lactalis Group, succeeded in acquiring 46,23% stake in the takeover process of Ljubljanske mlekarne. Thus, Dukat" owns a total of 4,229,239 shares i.e. 96.52% of Slovenian dairies, Illyria announced on Wednesday on behalf of Dukat.

Dukat currently owns 50.28% stake in Ljubljanske mlekarne which Lactalis bought from several Slovenian funds and banks. Media assumed that around EUR 20 mil was set aside for that number of shares.

According to Slovenian media, in the takeover of all shares, Dukat offered EUR 8,75 per share to the remaining shareholders, among which the biggest one was cooperative Mlekodel. The largest number of shareholders accepted it so therefore the takeover ended up successfully.

Ljubljanske mlekarne have 550 employees and the company processes more than 200 million liters of milk.
