The manager of Belgrade-based company "Miteco", Miodrag Mitrović, said today (October 5, 2006) in the statement for "Ekapija" that that company would have its first ecological transfer station built in Serbia at the end of 2006 or at the beginning of year 2007, in which separation and partial processing of dangerous waste would be carried out.
(Miodrag Mitrović)
- Company "Miteco" deals with trade, disposal of dangerous waste and consulting. Besides, we deal with the export of the dangerous waste, especially pyralene. However, we realized that the waste we export usually contains many matters, such as iron and copper, which are valuable and would be better to process and use, instead to export. For that reason we decided to form ecological transfer station - Mitrović pointed out.
Looking back on the participation of company "Miteco" in this-year Ecology Fair in Belgrade, Mitrović said that the company was very satisfied with its presence, that the stand of that company had had many visitors and that they had established contacts with the potential partners from Croatia, BiH and Hungary.
- At this Fair, among the rest, we promote the idea of necessity of organization of a fair that would be called "Balkan Ecology". That manifestation would be held in Belgrade and it would gather all companies that deal with the ecology problems in this part of Europe. I think that it would be good to organize something like that and that Serbia could have much benefit from that – Mitrović concluded.
