Pharmaceutical company, Actavis, acquires Irish competitor Warner Chilcott

American pharmaceutical company, Actavis, will take over all shares of Irish competitor, Warner Chilcott, estimated at EUR 6.6 billion, as announced in t the statement of two companies.

This agreement will " generate a leading global pharmaceutical company, with an annual revenue of USD 11 billion and which will focus on women's health, gastroenterology, urology and dermatology" it was added in the company statement and reported by France Press.

- Our strategic objective is to set up a leading specialty pharmaceutical company – CEO of Actavis, Paul Bisaro said.
