Botanical garden received 30,000 EUR from EFG Eurobank for equipping of European garden

In Botanical garden "Jevremovac", on October 4, 2006, the contract was signed on EFG Eurobank's donation worth 30,000 EUR for equipping of European garden in this protected natural and cultural property.

The manager of "Jevremovac", Slobodan Jovanović, said that, prior to May 2007, the money from the donation would be used for organization of systematic parcel with 500 new herbaceous herbs, mainly from Europe, which would result in the growth of the herbal fund of the garden to 2,800 species. He expressed hope that the fund of the Botanical garden would have 4,000 herbal species in the near future, as well as that the number of visitors would grow from 60,000 to 100,000 on annual basis, which is average number of visitors in the big botanical gardens in the world.
