Italians to take over Jagodinska pivara

Jagodinska pivara, the oldest industrial manufacture in Jagodina, founded in 1852, will be taken over by Gianantonio Tramet, owner of brewery chain, Tramite, in north Italy.

It has been agreed today at the meeting of Tramet, president of the municipal assembly Jagodina, Dragan Markovic –Palma and General Manager of Jagodinska pivara, Jelena Vulovic-Dojcinovic.

The Ambassador of Serbia in Rome, Ana Hrustanovic, President of the City assembly of Belgrade, Aleksandar Antic and a famous Serbian basketball player, Sasa Djordjevic who was mediated this business attended the meeting.

- It is a gentleman who produces a couple of kinds of beer and we agreed that he would visit Jagodinska pivara June 10th. We are expecting business to start in September latest – Markovic said after the meeting.

We expect Trameta to buy Jagodinska pivara or we expect mutual investments in production and market, Markovic added.

Trameta was not hiding his statisfaction when he heard data on brewery delivered by company GM Vulovic – Dojcinovic. He is particularily interested in Russian and Turkish market via Serbia because beers which his compnies produces in Italy cannot be found in Russia at the moment, Markovic mentioned.

Vulović - Dojčinović je ocenila da je sastanak bio važan i konstruktivan za pivaru u Jagodini i napomenula da se radi o vlasniku velikog broja pivara i najvećem proizvođaču piva u Italiji.

- This is the initial agreement while we expect to define suggestions on economic cooperation at the meeting scheduled for June 10. There is an option of placing our beer through that company, production of some kinds of their beer in Jagodina and participation of Italian breweries’ capital to development of Jagodinska pivara - Vulovic – Dojčinovic said.

- The most important thing that our capacities, product line and beer quality respond to their requirements and placement to their market Vulović – Dojčinovic concluded.

Trameta pointed out that he was "ready to do business with Jagodinska pivara.

- We have already agreed upon my coming to Jagodina, June 10 and I hope we will then sign the contract on cooperation and agree about specific beer quantities which we will mutually place to local and foreign market – he said.

Trameta praised famous basketball player, Djordjevic, saying that he “left positive impression”. He said he believed in Serbia and its readiness to be specific and to generate quality economy and become an industrially developed country with bright future.
