Bela Palanka to get outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and cycling paths - EU is funding complex construction with EUR 560.000

Within the Cross-Border Programme of Bela Palanka and Bulgarian neighboring municipality Etropole, Bela Palanka will be provided EU funds totaling EUR 560.000 for a modern, bathing complex with numerous facilities.

Manager of Sports center Banjica in Bela Palanka, Miroslav Marinkovic, has today said for Tanjug that purchase of land and procedures for obtaining all essential permits is in progress. Therefore, the construction of the complex is expected to start soon. Funds have already been provided.

- Watering place will build on a space of current Vasariste, within the Banjica sports center. Except from an outdoor swimming pool, the complex will have two outdoor tennis courts, a sand volleyball field, cycling paths and other facilities– Marinkovic said.

He estimated that the facility will be very important for Bela Palanla because it will enable the young to spend their leisure time during summer in quality way, playing sports.

Deadline for works termination is the end of 2015.
