DACIC: Intel offers us to produce mobile phones

Serbian Prime Minister, Ivica Dacic, said in San Francisco that the Serbian government is interested to provide incentives for investing and opening of new production facilities of Intel in Serbia.
- We are very interested to provide incentives for Intel investment in Serbia, i.e. for new production sections set up and these are the topics we will discuss in the upcoming period - Dacic said during his visit to the company.
Dacic pointed out that the Intel company project which refers to raising the educational level of the youth, adding that the aim of the government by the end of its mandate is to ensure that every elementary school has a computer.
- Intel investment and its presence in Serbia and the region would considerably contribute to development of our IT- oriented companies, to the opening of large number of vacancies and scientific-research capacities. If we add the Nano Center built with EU, it is certain that in the upcoming period Serbia can become a leader in information technology region- wide - Dacic said.
The Intel company has offices and development center in Serbia with up to 30 employees, Dacic said.
- Our idea is to do some mutual projects in the future. Therefore, I called new Intel’s CEO to visit Serbia with his associates in September associates come to Serbia - Dacic said.
According to him, many mobile phones software solutions are created in Serbia.
- Intel offers that our local companies produce even mobile phones which would be sold in the region on the basis of their solutions – Dacic said.
