Construction of cardboard factory in Jagodina to kick off June 2013 - Investment worth EUR 20 million

Russian company North Karton is going to invest EUR 20 million in the construction of a factory for producing wave cardboard and packaging in Jagodina, which will employ up to 200 workers, company's owner Vladimir Slovohotov confirmed at a meeting with Serbia's business and political delegation in Sankt Petersburg.

At that meeting chaired by Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic Palma, he announced that the construction of cutting-edge factory for producing wave cardboard and packaging would commence June in the Jagodina industrial zone.

- Equipment for this factory will be supplied from Germany and Italy, which is a guarantee that all production facilities will be using top technology that meets the strictest requirements - Slovohotov said and voiced his expectation that over 70 percent of the packaging would be exported.
