Bor to get another copper smelter worth USD 200 million

In addition to the copper smelter that is already under construction within the Mining and Smelting Basin (RTB) Bor, construction of another facility of the kind, worth USD 200 million, will commence soon.

This has been confirmed to Novosti by RTB CEO Blagoje Spaskoski.

- A company from the USA, whose name I cannot reveal, has sent us an official request to build another smelter next to the one with a capacity of about 80,000 tonnes of copper per year, which is already under construction - said Spaskovski.

– The new smelter, which will be situated right next to the facility we are building now, will have a processing capacity of 30,000 tonnes of copper per year.
