Present value of Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) - 1.2 billion USD

- Total value of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) amounts to 1.2 billion USD, 270m USD of which are debts, which is very positive, because the company, according to the estimates of the privatization councillor, "belongs to the class of companies with low debts" – Tomislav Robotić, the manager of Finance Function of NIS, announced.

According to his words, NIS realized income of 3.6 billion CSD during the last 6 months, which is 30% more than in 2005, while the plan is that the income of 6.4 billion CSD be realized prior to the end of the year.

The executive manager of NIS Naftagas, Igor Korać, pointed out that, after 25 years of constant decrease in production of oil, NIS had registered increase in production by 30,000 tons in 2006 in Vojvodina and Angola where NIS had its concessions. He added that the total annual production should reach amount of 650,000 tons of oil, which 20% of Serbia's needs for oil.
