TABAKOVIC: The UAE wants to establish bank in Serbia

Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Jorgovanka Tabakovic said that the United Arab Emirates had expressed interest in setting up a bank in Serbia, but had failed to file an official request to date.

According to the NBS governor, several meetings have been held to that end, but no official request for a preliminary approval, that is, banking license, has been submitted to the National Bank of Serbia to date.
