Boss suits made in Pirot - AHA Mura Prvi Maj starts production

Pirot Mayor Vladan Vasic said Wednesday that about EUR 1 million had been invested in equipment for the renovated clothing manufacturing facility of the AHA Mura Prvi Maj company, adding that 180 workers at that facility were already sewing suits for the Boss company.

- Once this facility reaches its full capacity, 400 people will be working here - said Vasic, who toured the fully renovated clothing manufacturing facility of AHA Mura Prvi Maj in company with Milan Ristic, the director of the Free Zone Administration within the Ministry of Finance.

As Vasic added, training of new workers is underway and more new equipment is yet to be installed.

- I believe that the facility will soon reach its full capacity. We should be satisfied with the progress made at this company - said Vasic.

The English-Slovenian company AHA Mura bought three production facilities from Prvi May for EUR 2.1 million at an auction last year, after a privatization agreement was terminated with companies Irva investicije and Jabuka. AHA Mura Prvi Maj currently has 1,020 employees, with 200 of them still being trained.
