Electricity price is not going to be increased before mid-summer, people at the Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) told Tanjug news agency Monday.

- The price of electricity will not go up before mid-summer, and consumers will be notified of the price change minimum 15 days prior to the increase, which is pursuant to the Energy Law - people at that company specified.

EPS has not yet submitted an official request for electricity price increase to the Energy Agency because some procedures for establishing a public supplier are still not completed.

Electricity price in Serbia was last increased on 1 April 2011 by 15 percent on average, and before that in March 2010 by 10 percent on average.

The average price of electricity in Serbia is 5.5 eurocenats per kilowatt-hour.
