FAP and Ikarbus to produce 40 buses for City Transportation Company Beograd, €20m

Design of 40 low-floor buses in Automobile Factory Priboj (FAP) for the needs of the City Transportation Company Beograd is underway. These buses are produced by FAP in cooperation with Belgrade-based Ikarbus. For that purpose, the factory from Priboj produces complete chassis with axles, engine and transmission system.

The job worth over €20m was won by FAP and Ikarbus on the tender at the end of 2004 and, so far, 9 buses have been constructed. The entire job should be completed in the first half of the year 2005.

In the near future, FAP will be working on production of 30 special trucks intended for public utility companies in Belgrade.
