Serbia's national railway company Serbian Railways is negotiating with Greek, Macedonian, Hungarian and Czech railway companies on Serbia's participation in the transport of goods from the Port of Piraeus, Greece to Czech Republic, Director of the Transportation Directorate Negoslav Teofilovic said Tuesday.
Teofilovic noted that an agreement on that deal would be signed in mid-May, assessing that project as very significant for Serbian Railways.
He did not want to specify the expected amount of revenues from the deal, but he said that electrical engineering equipment would be transported.
Between 20 and 30 trains will operate from the Port of Piraeus to Czech Republic every day, Teofilovic said when signing a RSD 1 billion agreement on the overhaul of 385 cars.
