Christian Otto Neu, the CEO of the insurance company DDOR Novi Sad, says that they are considering the possibility of investing in countries in the region in partnership with the new owner, adding that they are not ruling out the possibility of making acquisitions in Serbia.
In mid-November last year the Managing Board of Unipol Gruppo Finanziario S.p.A., with a headquarters in Bologna, gave the green light for the start of implementation of the management and coordination of the Fondiaria SAI S.p.A. company as well as its subsidiaries, one of which is the insurance company DDOR Novi Sad. In that way the Novi Sad-based insurance company became a member of the Gruppo Assicurativo Unipol group, which should also result in a new strategy and new opportunities for this company.
- That is very good for DDOR Novi Sad. We are now part of the largest insurance group in the field of non-life insurance in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, whose annual turnover is at about EUR 18 billion. The group is currently working on its business strategy for Italy and abroad, and I can only say that our new shareholders are highly ambitious and ready for challenges - Otto Neu says in an interview with Svet Osiguranja magazine.
DDOR Novi Sad reported a gross calculated premium of RSD 8,214 million and a net profit of RSD 264 million in 2012.
