Manifestation beneath cupolas of Zagreb's Fair – Serbian companies departed for Croatian market at full speed

If you were in doubt during the past few years whether to visit the Autumn International Zagreb Fair, there should be neither reason, nor room for doubts of that type this year.

Namely, this-year 82nd Zagreb Fair, which was opened yesterday (September 19, 2006) with all pomp and euphoria, justified entire prestige and renown attached to its name from the very start. Judging by the words of the organizers of the Zagreb Fair, this-year manifestation will gather 1,710 exhibitors from 42 countries.

Several different manifestations are on the "menu" underneath the cupolas of the biggest Croatian fairgrounds, such as Fair "Eco-ethno Croatia" dedicated to gastronomy achievements and old handicrafts, the Music Fair with the concert of Dado Topić, as well as the fairs of civil engineering, energy, fashion, mechanical industry, transportation, real estaets, traffic, etc.

As far as exhibitors from Serbia are concerned, the following companies represented their operations, products and services at the 82nd Zagreb Fair: "Albus" Novi Sad, "Invej" Zemun, "Alfa plam" Vranje, "Elektroindustrije Elid", "Metalac posuđe" Gornji Milanovac, "Milan Blagojević" Smederevo, "Monus" Inđija, "Paraćinka" Paraćin, "Perform", Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, "Rubin" Kruševac, "Teleoptik" Zemun, "Tigar obuća" Pirot, "U.S. Steel" Smederevo and "Vital" Vrbas.

It is interesting that the very beginning of this-year Fair was marked by the real investment hit. It is the announcement of the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, who pointed out that the construction of new fairgrounds would soon start in the capital of Croatia (it should be completed by 2009), as well as the construction of new congress center and organization of the Zagreb airport "Pleso". He also mentioned construction of new hotel and catering capacities.
