The Social Economic Council of Serbia failed to reach a decision on the minimum wage for the period March-December 2013 at it's session on Thursday (28 March 2013) due to a clash of opinions between employers, trade unions and the Serbian government.

For that reason, the minimum wage for this year will be determined by the Serbian government within the next 10 days.

The Social Economic Council proposed Boza Draskovic as a member of the Board of the Anti-Corruption Agency.

The Council also discussed an initiative for introducing changes to the Criminal Code so as to classify the non-payment of salaries to employees as a criminal offense, and the Draft law on social entrepreneurship and employment in social enterprises.
