Construction of Prokop and "liberation" of Sava amphitheater are still two most important investments for Serbian railways

- At this moment, the most significant investment for "Serbian Railways" is the construction of the new station in Prokop and announced "liberation" of the Sava amphitheater. We expect that the general contract with another two related contracts will be signed by the end of the month – general manager of "Serbian Railways", Milanko Šarančić, explains.

At the end of June 2006, on the international tender for construction of the station and commercial center, the most favorable was the offer of Hungarian "Trigranit". The value of investments reach the amount of 200m EUR.

The only related contract concerns ownership over the concrete panel, whereas the other is in the domain of technical issues that have already been mentioned in the tender.

Šarančić says that the Government of Serbia gave the agreement on the ownership over the panel, but "Serbian Railways" requests from "Trigranit" to provide the adequate financial guarantee prior to the final completion of all contents and the entire business.

According to his words, "Serbian Railways" has no interference in the arrangement between the Hungarian company and City of Belgrade, according to which the former is to pay the fee to the account of the latter, and that is "the procedure that is, with all its elements, in the hands of the City and Trigranit".
