TODORIC: There will be new investment in Serbia

There will be some new investments in Serbia, Agrokor Retail Vice President Ante Todorix confirmed in an interview with Nase Novine.

However, he did not comment on the possibility of Agrokor acquiring Mercator and these two retail chains merging.

When asked about their relationship with the Croatian government, Todoric said that it could be better, adding that there was a dialogue with competent ministers, but that it should be more intensive.

- The state and the government can be successful only if the economy and private businesses are successfull - he stressed.

Todoric noted that they had big plans and ideas and that they would be working hard to implement them. Fruits and vegetables, as he assessed, represented a huge potential of Serbia and required as many investments as possible.

When asked how many Serbian products they offered in their stores in Croatia, Todoric replied: "In excess of 500," adding that the demand for them was increasing on a daily basis.
