Saltworks Bajo Sekulić facing bankruptcy, construction of hotel on its location

Ulcinj-based Saltworks (majority owners are Eurofond and Monet with 67% of stocks in their possession) will soon go bankrupt. The company owes €2.5m and it has the problem with out-of-date technology and excess manpower. All employees will get all their late salaries before the company goes bankrupt. It is announced that the new hotel will be built on the part of the land that belongs to the Saltworks, right next to the beach.
