Fire brigades in Serbia to obtain 12.8m EUR for procurement of new and modern equipment

- The State needs to have well-equipped fire units. Therefore, in the scope of the National Investment Plan, 12.8m EUR have been set aside for the procurement of new vehicles - said the councillor of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Predrag Marić, at the recently opened Protection and Security Fair.

He said that the big progress had been achieved that year. The Fire Brigade of Belgrade has been completely equipped and the plan is that the other brigades in Serbia obtain full equipment in 2006 and 2007.

According to his words, the tender has already been announced for procurement of special fire vehicle for big heights with the platform at height of 54 m. Its price is about 800,000 EUR.
