Equipment for assembling of Kragujevac's "Punto" is late

The Head of the Independent Trade Union of Kragujevac-based factory "Zastava Automobili", Zoran Mihajlović, said that the announced installation of the equipment in the units of that factory for assembling of "Punto", that is, "Zastava 10", was more and more late.
- All preparations for installation of equipment have been carried out in the unit for assembling of bodies in the automobile factory, but the problem lies in the fact that that equipment is late - said Mihajlović.
(Commencement of project still uncertain)
He said that "Zastava" had paid over 2m EUR for the equipment to Italian company "Kamau", which had been selected to install the "Fiat" equipment in the Kragujevac units. "Zastava" set aside the aforementioned money from the means from the privatization of companies from its former complex. Total of the means required for the equipment is about 14m EUR.
- Part of the equipment that was paid should arrive in about 10 days - Mihajlović pointed out and repeated that the factory needed investments in order to realize "Punto project" in the quality way and in accordance with European standards.
