The guesses about the privatization of Department stores "Beograd", which pushed businessmen Miroslav Mišković and Milan Beko in the first plan as practically certain buyers of that company, disturbed, according to unofficial information, the other interested competitor for that company - Italian "Benetton".

Namely, former assistant of the bankruptcy manager of the Department stores, Vojin Plavanski, who was present at the talks between Serbian Government and "Benetton", claims that that company is determined to take over the entire system of Department stores and not only some of its parts.

Plavanski rejected every possibility of the agreement between "Benetton" and Mišković, which was announced by the Head of the ASsociation of independent trade unions of Serbia, Milenko Smiljanić, who said that "certain lady who represented Benetton" had taken part in the meeting in "Delta holding", the main subject of which had been the "social situation" in the company.

- "Benetton" wants to buy the entire systm and once the public competition for procurement is announced, it will apply and take part in the auction in the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia - Plavanski claims and adds that Italian giant informed the Privatization Agency of Serbia on that.
