EU and Germany provide EUR 3.78 million for more efficient agricultural land management in Serbia

The EU Delegation to Serbia, the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and the German Society for International Development (GIZ) today began implementing the Rural Development - Efficient Land Management project, for which the European Union will set aside EUR 2.78 million and Germany another EUR 1 million over the next three years.

The aim of the project is to help the country and local self-governments in Serbia to increase the efficiency and agricultural land management, it was said at a meeting in Sava Center. Germany will provide financial assistance to that project through its Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.

Experts working on this project have already visited the following municipalities: Jagodina, Paracin, Razanj, Knjazevac, Negotin, Boljevac, Svrljig, Zitoradja, Kladovo, Vranje, Vladicin Han, Dimitrovgrad, Pirot, Bela Palanka, Vlasotince and Aleksandrovac, which are all interested in the project.
