Vip Mobile opens telecommunications center in Kragujevac

Vip Mobile ceremoniously opened a regional telecommunications center in Kragujevac on Wednesday to provide an additional support to flawless communication between its users, especially when it comes to the transfer of large amounts of data. This facility was opened by Kragujevac Mayor Veroljub Stevanovic and Vip Mobile CEO Thanasis Katsiroubas.

After those opened in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, this is Vip Mobile's fourth regional telecommunications center in Serbia.

As Vip announced in a release, the new IT center is built to ensure constant access to all services offered by the operator, like in the cases of major failures and other unforeseeable circumstances.

- Since the whole territory of Serbia is covered by our network in this way, if a technical problem occurs at the Belgrade telecommunications center, the Kragujevac regional center will completely assume its role, so users won't feel any change in traffic - the release reads.

With the support of city authorities, it took only eight months to build the regional center in the industrial zone in Kragujevac, on an area spanning over 1,500 square meters, with the value of the investment totalling EUR 3.2 million. Constructed in line with the highest European quality standards, this regional center has the telecommunications capacity big enough to render services not only to Vip's business users, but also to other companies needing to develop their operations in central Serbia, Vip stressed in the release.
