EUR 24 million for land expropriation for South Stream

In the process of construction of South Stream gas pipeline through Serbia, about 8,000 hectares of land need to be expropriated, which will cost up to EUR 24 million, it was assessed Monday at a session of the Serbian parliament's Board for Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy.

Petar Stankovic, assistant to the energy minister, said that about EUR 75 million had been earmarked in the 2013 budget for land expropriation.
