Location for new shopping center in Zemun unveiled

When Zemun will get its first shopping center depends on Israeli investors, but the funds are already provides. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has granted a EUR 13.5 million loan to the Israeli company, and the total value of this investment is EUR 25.5 million.

The new facility will be built in the economic zone in the upper part of Zemun, between Metro and OMV filling station. The shopping center will span an area of 15,309 square meters and feature 584 parking places.

As it was announced earlier, the new retail park will be called Power Center.

The project will be implemented by companies Jelmil and Konzulpro, which are owned by companies Jerusalem Economy LTD and Industrial Buildings Corporation LTD, members of the Fishman Group.

- Belgrade shoppers are clearly undersupplied, while retailers need more space - said Matteo Patrone, EBRD Director for Serbia.

The new shopping development will attract well-known brands, some of which are expected to be new to Serbia, and become an expansion platform for retailers already operating in the market.
