Erste commpany inks cooperation agreement with Krusevac's Savremeni Dom

Early next week Turkey's Erste commpany is going to open the first factory for making furniture and PVC joinery in Krusevac and then hire 35 workers, company's owner Muamer Ozdjan told the press Thursday (7 February 2013) when signing an agreement on business and technical cooperation with the wood processing company Savremeni Dom.

He added that Erste commpany would strive to employ 300 people from Krusevac by the year's end.

- We plan to expand our production facilities and add textile and aluminum products to our portfolio, and the plan is also to first hire the workers of Savremeni Dom and then unemployed people registered with the National Employment Agency - said Ozdjan.

After saying that prior preparations had already been completed in Turkey, Ozdjan announced that production in Krusevac would begin as early as Monday. On the occasion of his previous visit to the city management, the owner of the Turkish company said that that company was going to invest about EUR 3 million in Savremeni Dom.

Krusevac Mayor Bratislav Gasic, who attended the agreement signing ceremony, told the press that Erste commpany was one of the five that had submitted a letter of intent for the privatization of Savremeni Dom to the Privatization Agency.

Savremeni Dom was previously privatized by Belgrade-based Idea Projekt, an agreement with which was terminated in mid-2010.
