Energy from renewable sources for Simpo Kopaonik - Memorandum of Understanding signed with Slovenia's GGE on CHP plant construction

Simpo Kopaonik signed Tuesday (22 January 2013) in Bratislava a Memorandum of Understanding with Slovakia's GGE for EUR 20 million investment in renewable energy sources.
The MoU was signed by Simpo Vice President Ljubomir Ilkic and President of the Presidency of GGE Roland Tot in the presence of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic.
The project is about the construction of a cogeneration plant that should ensure stable and energy-efficient supply of electricity to Simpo Kopaonik and allow for the generation of electric energy from renewable sources and wood waste, which would then be sent to the EPS grid.
GGE has won a contract to reconstruct thermal power stations and heating plants in Novi Sad, which is the company's biggest investment not only in Serbia, but also in the entire region.
