U.A. Aribolt from Istanbul, Turkey is going to open a factory for producing women's stockings in Krusevac within the next six months and hire about 100 workers in the first phase, the company's owner, Arif Kazdal, announced Tuesday (22 January 2013).
Over the next three months the company will move about 200 machines worth EUR 2 million to Krusevac in order to start production of about four million stockings a month in that town.
- We've chosen Krusevac because it has a free zone as well as a high unemployment rate - the company's owner told Tanjug news agency after a meeting with Krusevac Mayor Bratislav Gasic.
He said U.A. Aribolt was a serious company that monthly produces about five million stockings in Turkey and another 2.5 million in its production facilities in Lithuania.
Production in Krusevac will be intended for the markets of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Romania, it was announced after the meeting in the city hall.
- We talked about potential locations, and we shall see if the representatives of the Turkish company will choose to build a new facility or adapt the existing deserted facilities of large systems - said Mayor Gasic.
