Tender for Horgoš-Požega highway to be closed on September 7

Minister of Capital Investments of Serbia, Velimir Ilić, announced that the second part of the international tender for allotment of concession for construction of the highway from Horgoš to Požega would be ended on September 7, 2006, which would be followed by the selection of the contractor.
Reminding that many European building giants sent their offers, Ilić pointed out that the winner on the tender would be able to return the investment from the toll collecting after the construction of the highway.
According to his words, Horgoš-Požega highway and other two highways, which will be built on the Corridor 10 from Leskovac to Macedonian border and from Niš to Dimitrovgrad, will be completed in three or four years.
- The highways to Macedonian border and from Niš to Dimitrovgrad will be built from the means from the Republic budget, that is, from the privatization incomes. In addition, another 900m EUR will be invested - Ilić reminded.
