Rehabilitation of railway bridge across the Danube near Bogojevo to be completed in few weeks


According to the latest news from the building site, the last bridge torn down during the NATO bombing that has not been rehabilitated yet, the railway bridge across the Danube near Bogojevo, will be put into operation already in September 2006.
That is an important bridge for the northern Vojvodina, especially for the freight traffic, because the goods are directed to Croatia and BiH on the shortest road.

The rehabilitation of the railway bridge costs about 700,000 EUR, 400,000 EUR of which have been provided by Croatia through donation from Belgium and Norway, whereas the rest will be provided from the budget of Serbia.
The project for rehabilitation has been elaborated by the Transportation Institute CIP in Belgrade. The works on the rehabilitation of the bridge are carried out by employees of "Mostogradnja" and three subcontractors – "Konstruktor", "Južna Bačka" and Building Company from Odžaci.
